Why PMR
Real stories, real recovery
The most honest picture of what it is like here comes from the people who have lived it. These are the words of clients and families we have walked alongside.

Stories from clients and families
Recovery is personal. Here is what it has meant for some of the people who have trusted us with it.
Present Moments helped me begin a new life. I was a hopeless alcoholic and addict when I arrived. After gaining the knowledge and tools from there, I have an absolutely amazing life now in the program. If you feel like your life is over, you are exactly where you need to be. Don't ever give up. I am forever indebted to Present Moments.
Former client
In recovery
As a client in Mark, Amy, and their team's care, I can honestly say I could not have found a better group to guide me through perhaps the most difficult period in my adult life. Eight months and three levels of care later, it has been what I needed, when I needed it. That has not always been easy to accept in the challenging moments of honest self-searching, but looking back, it is the truth.

Eight months, three levels of care
Present Moments is a wonderful, holistic, self-care based model of recovery. The ownership and staff all authentically care and actively work to ensure individualized treatment plans. Counseling, therapy, psychiatry, group work, meetings, yoga, fitness, nutrition, eco-therapy, EMDR, art therapy, and a beautiful environment all contribute to total wellness. My experience fully changed my perspective. I feel like family, and I am very grateful.
Former client
Whole-person care
When we had a family member who was ready for help, Present Moments was such a gift. I felt my loved one was safe and comfortable and getting the care and attention they deserved. I trusted the process and we celebrated the experience. I am so grateful to have found Present Moments. They were there for us in our time of need.

Supporting a loved one
Present Moments Recovery knows what and how to help your loved ones get help. Most families in crisis are not familiar with how to navigate the treatment system. Call them, they know how. PMR will make sure your highest and greatest needs are met, from the first call to the care your loved one will experience.

Navigating a crisis
Mark's support, knowledge, compassion, and commitment have truly been outstanding, and more than I could have hoped for. I was trying to help my son in San Diego from out of state, which was extremely frightening. Mark was the only one who answered the phone. He took the time to listen, asked the right questions, and offered immediate detox. Then the real miracle: he offered to personally drive to my son's home, pick him up, and bring him back to safely begin detox. I shudder to think what would have happened without him. I am incredibly grateful our family has been able to benefit from his guidance. He really stood by us.
