Drug Rehab San Diego North County
Residential Alcohol/Prescription Addiction Rehab in San Diego
A Trusted Name in Behavioral Health Since 2014
Addiction is progressive and destructive to the person who is caught in its grasp. But , recovery is attainable for those who come to a reputable treatment center and get the help they need to recover. At Present Moments Recovery, we proudly offer only the highest standard of care in addiction medicine and behavioral health.
We specialize in offering compassionate, customized treatment and rehabilitation for individuals struggling from behavioral and substance abuse disorders (alcohol, prescription drugs - including opioids like fentanyl and heroin). After men and women come here, they frequently achieve long-term sobriety.
‘Home-Like’ Setting and Incredible Value
After making sure that detox takes care of withdrawals and physiological symptoms, we offer residential treatment for the first 1-3 months of sobriety in a comfortable ‘home-like’ setting where individualized attention can place a person’s needs in early recovery at the forefront. Welcome to recovery in an ambience of family and home.
We specialize in helping recovering men and women establish a firm foundation in recovery, so after facilitating the detox process all the way through residential (or inpatient) rehabilitation, we assist them in planning for a ‘step down’ program to receive “after care.” If our client is going to remain in the local San Diego area, we will typically continue counseling the individual on an outpatient basis as he or she moves into a local sober living house (or returns home).
At Present Moments Recovery, we’ll meet you wherever you are on your recovery journey — so you can discover new possibilities, new promise and a new life. - Mark Gladden, CEO and Founder
San Diego's Only Comprehensive Continuum of Care Model
Present Moments Recovery isn’t your average San Diego treatment facility. It is the brainchild of Mark and Amy Gladden, who have experienced the pain of addiction firsthand. This family-owned treatment center offers the entire continuum of care, and every program is CARF-accredited for excellence. We dreamt of a better place to get sober and got in touch with the top drug and alcohol professionals in San Diego. We take a long-term approach to drug and alcohol rehabilitation, improving the likelihood of long-term success. We do more than help you put down drugs and alcohol for the short term. We teach the necessary life skills to remain sober for the long-term.
Longer Treatment Period = Greater Long-Term Success
Our family-run treatment center is able to provide a much longer treatment period for the same cost that most rehabs offer a 28 day program. The standard length of time for our continuum of care is 90 days, which creates a very solid foundation of sobriety and newly learned behaviors in the men and women whom we treat.
There are countless medical studies which have clearly demonstrated a correlation between longer treatment periods and better outcomes (ie long-term sobriety). This is one of the reasons that Present Moments has been so successful in helping women and men get “over the hump” of initial sobriety and truly establish a rewarding and uplifting life without the use of their drug of choice.
Skilled and Caring Clinicians Dedicated to Your Recovery
The treatment process through our entire continuum of care is facilitated by caring and highly skilled addiction clinicians who have achieved credentials and certifications that are indicative of the best in our industry. Many of our team members have had their own lives touched by addiction, and there comes with this a personal investment in your success because, simply put, our recovery is best supported by helping you with yours. You will not find a more dedicated and effective team of clinicians at any other center.
Present Moments is the premier comfortable and safe detox in San Diego county.

Relapse Prevention And Aftercare Planning
Present Moments Recovery spends a lot of time teaching our clients about relapse prevention. The goals of this cognitive-behavioral approach toward treating the disease of addiction are detecting triggers and planning for more productive responses.
Aftercare Planning
Aftercare planning plays a vital role in the success of long-term addiction-free living. Entering a treatment program is a scary, life-changing decision for most clients. However, leaving a treatment program can be challenging as well, sometimes even more so. At Present Moments Recovery, all of our staff are dedicated in their efforts to devise an individualized aftercare plan.
The framework of that plan must address core needs for the client, such as:
- Returning to a safe and stable living environment
- Gaining support of family and friends
- Making necessary changes to the circle of friends
- Returning to previous employment, if any, or creating a plan to gain employment
- Receiving ongoing outpatient treatment
Of course, many other issues exist and must be addressed. However, the above issues are critical to the development of a successful aftercare plan. Far too often, clients, friends and family, employers, or individuals within support circles believe that a client’s recovery is complete at the end of the initial phase of residential treatment. The life-skills training and decision-making processes we foster with our clients are designed to be applied after initial treatment and become the framework for long-term abstinence.
Our counselors will remain available to support our patients for years in the future as they work diligently to maintain a healthy recovery. Contact us today so we can help you begin your journey to recovery. We look forward to partnering with you to help you become a healthier, happier person
